Bella Figura: Part 1 is held at the beautiful Old Witta School, just outside Maleny. Please bring your own lunch. There are fridges and microwaves. Morning tea will be provided.
What you will learn
Day 1
Learn about relative body proportions, major landmarks on the body, the correct sequence for drawing the human figure and basic block in techniques, including a technique for sketching pose ideas without a model.
Day 2
Learn the anatomy of the areas of the body that are most challenging, giving you confidence through understanding. We will also explore tone, how light behaves and affects the body and our perception of form, and how to accurately bring 3-dimensionality to our life drawings using this knowledge.
A life model will be present.
Easels, drawing boards and clips and all materials will be provided.
Terms and Conditions
1. General Terms and Conditions
· Workshop numbers are kept small to maximise my attention with you while you are learning new processes and techniques. There are a maximum and minimum number of students per class. Book early to secure your place. If the minimum number of students is not achieved within 1 week of the workshop date, the workshop may be postponed or cancelled.
· An email is sent to workshop participants 1-2 weeks before each workshop date. That email confirms workshop date and time and address of the workshop with a link for directions. It will be assumed that the student has read that email prior to attending the workshop. Please reply to that email if anything is unclear.
2. Workshop Confirmation and Payment
Full payment is required to secure your booking.
· Payment can be made via my website or by direct deposit. To pay via direct deposit please email me to request an invoice with my banking details.
Note: any refund issued against a payment made via my website will be issued minus the Stripe transaction fee.
3. Workshop Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations by Students:
· Cancellations made 4 or more weeks prior to a booked workshop date will receive a full refund.
Note: any refund issued against a payment made via my website will be issued minus the Stripe transaction fee.
· Cancellations made 2-4 weeks prior to a booked workshop date will be refunded 50% of the full workshop cost.
· Cancellations made within 2 weeks of a booked workshop date will not receive a refund.
– Where possible, every effort is made to fill your place with a student on the workshop wait list. If this is possible, I can then refund your workshop fee (minus the stripe transaction fee if you paid via my website) or keep your workshop fee in credit for up to 12 months so you can attend a future workshop. If the credit is not used within 12 months, it is forfeited.
Cancellation by me:
· A workshop may be cancelled by me due to insufficient student numbers or unforeseen circumstances (eg illness or global pandemic*). In this event, you will be offered a full refund or option to reschedule.
*In the event that government restrictions force the cancellation or postponement of workshops, as they did in the first half of 2020 with COVID19, students will be offered the option of a refund or their fees held in credit for when workshops are able to resume again.

4. Additional Information
No responsibility will be taken for any personal property left at the facility; nor liability for any personal injury, unless caused through negligence on the part of your tutor.
